The very essence of saying Baruch Hashem or Thank You hashem should not be overlooked as nothing. In and of itself is a huge accomplishment and good thing to do.

Maybe paying lip service to “TYH” doesn’t feel real to you, but living in gratitude to the Almighty is a wonderful mindset to have, and vocalizing that frequently (but with sincerity, not just rote or as an idiom) as an amazing vibe.

Gratitude is empowering because it is the antithesis to taking things for granted. Living with gratitude means that in anything we do we appreciate the gift and opportunity of that moment/experience.

The famous story/teaching of the Baal Shem Tov about ואתה קדוש יושב תהילות ישראל how our Hashem awaits and “sits on” (maybe in modern English you’d say “is carried”) by those who praise him. There’s real power in that!

It’s tough to work on oneself if the mindset is about breaking habits or becoming something/someone else. But if you see it as being present and seeing reality for what it is, then it isn’t so far fetched.

Say it with meaning. Feel it. That is the best way.

This reads to me like G-d needs to be thanked like we do for humans. Shouldn't our actions be the best way to show thanks?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

It's the acknowledgement that yes יש ה' בקרבנו!
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

why did we come to this world?
we came to this world because נהמא דכיסופא, we believe that he owes us nothing and whatever he does is for our good, and its not deserved by our actions, so we need to thank him for the חסד and רחמים that he has on us, we thank for the past and pray for the future

next question, how to thank hashem
Come early to שחרית and say פסוקי דזמרה with כוונה. There’s a lot of thanking Hashem in there. If you concentrate hopefully you’ll start meaning what you say.
It may not be so easy to wake up on time but definitely easier than working on yourself. If that’s also too hard than maybe just try it for a week…

There’s value to verbalizing things, not just for the one hearing but for the one saying it as well. This is true for human relationships/communications, and is certainly true for prayer.
