sometimes i feel so grateful but i dont know what to do with those feelings,
throw a kiddush? easy way out but costs a pretty penny
work on yourself well thats tough
it became the new norm to say TYH on move on, that's so convenient I love it (not really)
Maybe paying lip service to “TYH” doesn’t feel real to you, but living in gratitude to the Almighty is a wonderful mindset to have, and vocalizing that frequently (but with sincerity, not just rote or as an idiom) as an amazing vibe.
Gratitude is empowering because it is the antithesis to taking things for granted. Living with gratitude means that in anything we do we appreciate the gift and opportunity of that moment/experience.
The famous story/teaching of the Baal Shem Tov about ואתה קדוש יושב תהילות ישראל how our Hashem awaits and “sits on” (maybe in modern English you’d say “is carried”) by those who praise him. There’s real power in that!
It’s tough to work on oneself if the mindset is about breaking habits or becoming something/someone else. But if you see it as being present and seeing reality for what it is, then it isn’t so far fetched.
