Not the first time this came up not familiar with Amex/aa specifically although I think that combo’s been mantioned that it can be done. United definitely works although it may be a slight ymmv or really just keep trying again had that many times on chase/United and cap1 United sometimes need to try again a few days after it’s booked until it lets you cancel for credit at the airline.

american only by phone [with lot of headache] and $50 fee

Without being familiar with aa much gonna assume Amex travel isn’t more expensive than other sites, only aa.com due to ndc? (…which means this isn’t an Amex issue/thing)

till not so long ago amex used to have insider prices for aa flights....

I have a ticket booked with MR in my wifes name which I needed to cancel, almost a year ago. I now have a $2156 credit on AA in her name set to expire 1/1/24. its not going to be possible to use before then, as I see things now. is there anyway to extend it?
