Members will be able to choose benefits such as priority boarding, upgrades, etc after earning a certain number of miles in a calendar year, irrespective of status.

They also mention changes to the award chart but don't mention details.

Really wasn't sure where to post this, searched and didn't find anything...

Avis used to give a standard 500 miles per rental, and as a gold it was 1,000 miles per rental.  That was a pretty good value.  I rarely check my account, but it looks like this is no longer the case.  The last few rentals have given 4 miles per base dollar (and equal loyalty points).  Anyway, figured I'd post this for anyone working off the past earning rates.

(I did find this page which promises 750 miles for using the Barclay Aviator card:  https://www.avis.com/en/bridge/partner/american-airlines/barclays )

this is now in effect starting today the downside is though that they upped it to 40,000 for gold status.
