Does anyone know where I can get access to one of those lights they shine on a baby that's yellow in order to have the bris on time in Brooklyn? (Don't know what the light is called)

As a side note, in our experience, a half hour of direct sunlight accomplished more than a full night on the light

Not through a window.  And it's too cold for the baby to stay naked outside.
So not for this season.
Another side note, girls can also have high billirubin that needs treatment.

I’m asking if exposing a newborn to direct sunlight for a wild is safe. Idk what the alternative is and whether that’s safe or not.

In general the jaundice levels we're talking about in the context of a bris do not require any intervention medically

My mohel recommended giving a bottle a few times a day, right after a feeding. The bilirubin goes up from the conflicts between the baby and mother's types. But a formula bottle can help a lot. But do it after a regular feeding because you don't want to impede the mother in the future.
