Bun told me that they "lost money" on gift cards, after the Postmates cut
Would make sense. Most stores mark up their products on postmates, uber eats etc.. Take a $10 item in the store, on postmates it would be $12. Assuming postmates takes 30% that would leave the store with $9 vs $10. However once store gift cards come into play and the the customer is using it in store and the mecrchent hasn't marked up the items. They are selling $200 gift-cards for $140... The store in Brooklyn told me he would rather people order now and get what you can get then be busy for months to come with gift-cards.
Got messages canceling every single one of my orders. ""is out of something you ordered"
if you're only getting existing steady customers it might be a loss of potential revenue, though they may also order more or order higher margin items than they would have. But otherwise, you should take the cash influx and work to try to convert the customers into customers for life, vs making them not want to shop with you again.
In addition to people losing their gcs and/or never cashing them in.
Mike's chicken just posted Gift Cards(upped them a little more than value)
They put the Postmates deal on their order page
Wish they had adjusted the gift card amounts instead of the total charge - ie $42 gift card for $50
Tell them that
PSA: For those having issues with the payment issues, I had the same issue, after I got in five orders I was getting the payment error message. I just tried the option to pay with Paypal, and it worked!
Yehuda57 needs to spew a certain amount of sarcasm in order to survive through the day.
I had 3 orders delivered, and on the 4th they charged full price without applying the promo (yes, the promo was applied when I made the order. Unfortunately no screenshot.)
