If it will only be used rarely then a battery will make it difficult. You are bound to find the battery empty every time you want to use it and eventually it will stop holding a charge altogether.

That's a very good point. I guess I'll go with this one instead:

Good choice if you don’t need cordless anyway. 8v might have been a bit weak.

Any specific blades you recommend?
Basic blade to cut wood, plastic and drywall.
Then add a blade for metal (nails and screws).
Then if you need specialty blades. I bought one for grout.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Any specific brand?
I bought Dremel just because they were on sale and had GC's.

Walmart has super cheap options too, though I have no idea about quality.
I use this one and it works fine. Haven't had a time where it didn't work or the battery was dead when needed. I used it for basic light duty stuff

The only thing that I found annoying is that at times my wrist started hurting from the weight (not specifically about this drill, in general)

I had to use too-long nails yesterday and now they're obviously poking about 1/2" out the other side. Is there a cheap tool that will cut them flush?

Some sort of protective cover may work as well but ideally I'd chop em down.

Edit: some only have about 1/4" of clearance but others have a bit more.

Oscillating multi-tool will cut it flush.

High probability someone in your area has one.

Awesome, will ask around.

Do you need any special attachment? (I'm totally with this tool.)

You know anyone with horses?  :)

lol

On that note, would a Dremel work? Just thought of it.

Been looking for an excuse to buy one for a while now lol.

I don’t know if it’s powerful enough, maybe with the right attachment.
