Not exactly tools but made by Snap-on. I received mine as a promotional gift many years ago. There are none better than these. If you can find them at a reasonable price grab all you can!!!

What's the significance?

Snap on is a tool company.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Probably the best.
It is something everyone can use, and they will last a lifetime. Just thought it was an interesting bit of info.  :)

Don't think they make them anymore. They were given out as a promotion to their customers.
Like I said they are top of the line and will last forever. I would pay $50 in a heartbeat.

Is there no other top-of-the-line Pizza cutter?

Doing some research and came across a brand. The lack of information regarding company history during the late 1930s and early 1940s makes me want to avoid. https://www.roesle.com/en/about-us/history-family/

When it comes to users there are three groups. Professionals, pro homeowners (DIY) and amateurs.

Likewise, there are three grades of tools. Pro, pro-budget and budget tools.

Brand name tools, like Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt etc. are almost never worth it when comparing price to performance. Except for professionals, which get the best value out of it. Although they can also get away with pro-budget tools (typically the store brand).

Based on your question, I take it that you belong on the middle group. For power tools I always recommend Ridgid as I believe they offer stellar value. Their tools are great and the prices are really competitive (especially on sale) for what you get. Additionally, the lifetime warranty offers great peace of mind.

Other pro budget tools are also a great choice. Personally, I think its hard to compete with Ridgid.

The same goes for hand tools. Pro budget tools typically offer the best bang for you buck.

Lifetime warranties are good, but the best warranty is one you don't have to use.
