Rental Van 8 passenger

Looking to rent an 8 passenger minivan (or suv)
Most sites say 7 passenger or similar.
Do the rental agencies have any 8 passenger minivans?
Does anyone have experience seeing them available?
Is there a way to guarantee an 8 passenger?
Specifically looking at JFK rental?
Any helpful info on this would be appreciated.

Priceline shows an option with Hertz for an 8 seat minivan and Alamo or national for an 8 seat SUV. Obviously more expensive than the standard 7 seat options though.

Call the site.  See what they really carry.  If they have what you want, ask how much to book.  I once got a better price than Priceline.

By and large the minivans in stack are Pacifica's or voyagers. There's the one off Sienna or Odessy.

+.5. My point was less Priceline and more an easy way to see which companies actually have a separate category for 8 seater at JFK.

What does that have to do with needing 8 seats? I ended up with an 8 seater Pacifica last time I rented a minivan - and both Sienna and Odyssey come in 7 seater too.

Either way, if the category you book is 7 seater, it's no surprise if you end up with a 7 seater, regardless of whether they have an 8 seater available. If you tell me you've reserved an 8 seat SUV or minivan and they had none on the lot, that's a different story l.

I've never seen it as an option via national and Enterprise.
I've asked countless times for an 8 passenger and was told they don't have them.
I've looked though rows of cars and haven't seen it.

I had one and so did 25% of BoroPark. But we weren't renting them out.

Try Turo

This looks like a good option. Prices seems much lower. Just need to factor the extra fees for pickup, etc.
Never used them before. Anybody have experience?

Re Turo: Yes I have. Always a smooth experience. Just make sure to read the reviews. Airports have made it difficult for Turo in a lot of places. It may be worth it to meet up elsewhere sometimes. In my last experience the owner actually arranged for the car to be parked at the airport after the fact without any fees or shuttle needed

usually. It really depends on each renter and each airport my experiences all on the West Coast. If there’s an option to take a very short Uber and pick up the car with no fees, that may be a lot more convenient and cheaper than dealing with a shuttle if the airport has a Turo lot.

Yes. Find the number of the branch you're picking up from.
They know what vehicles they have.

So I ended up using Turo and it was excellent!
I paid extra for airport pickup and dropoff and paid for full insurance and still came out cheaper than Costco and regular rentals. And guaranteed I got an 8-seater.
I chose a van with over 700 trips and excellent reviews, even though it was older and more expensive.
