how often are you opening up cards?

About once a month
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

About once a month
Why don't you do a 2/3bm every other month than apply for one every month?
It's not about the quantity of your posts.  It's about the quality.

You're going to have a very hard time convincing them to allow you to have both SP cards, it seems the noose has recently tightened on this, I was lucky to convince them two months ago, YMMV.

If you can hit 5k spend requirements, consider a business 3bm for a few Ink cards :)

too bad I didnt know that before i applied, not a total loss since i did get the marriott card approved, but when i called recon and gave a shpiel they said right away you cant have two SP. I'm a pretty good chase customer and dont have inquiries with chase for a long while and so they really must have changed policy. My wife got a second in august without any problem at all.

So what to do? can Huca but what is the angle I am telling them?

Better off missing out on the 7% dividend and getting the 40k, than not getting a new card...

I converted to MC but now have visa and MC showing active online. (no good because want to reapply for visa)
Chase told me that when I activate new MC, the visa will deactivate. Was it so in your experiences or  the visa was shut right away?

In the same situation now for wife's card VISA to MC . Both cards showing and Annual Fee on the Visa

#1 How do I get AF off  old SP Visa off that is part of a larger balance now. Ask for retention bonus?  Offer to cancel the Visa thus leave the MC with no AF and wait and then apply for Visa later ?

#2  Too soon to apply for Visa since both showing online? Some have said it does not matter

I think i waited too long and messed this one up
Help  :)

Update . I did wait too long it seems . Called to get AF waived from SP VISA  that i was converting to MC and was told can not be done. Last time when converted before AF became due it was not added to MC and it dropped off .

CSR said Visa and MC are the same product and can't waive fee now. Can drop to Sapphire non preferred with no AF and FX fee can use that to hold UR Alive .

Transfer all UR out and close out Visa and converted MC and give  CL back to freedom ? Will MC drop off the record ?

Having MC will maybe stop me from getting bonus again on any Sapphire or make it less likely .

Looks like I messed this up bigtime

There is no approving another, least not for me. They are firm that I can't have two SP at the same time. I dont abuse chase and am a good customer so there's no reason they should deny it, but they seem to have changed policies. My wife got both in August, too bad I didnt do it then.

It has been chase policy for quite some time now( I would venture to say >1 year). While a (small) number have been succesful at acquiring both the MC/Visa @ the same time, it seems they have become even stricter of late

I'm sure it's been a Chase policy for a while (along with everything else we do here on DDF) but until a few weeks ago I have never had a problem getting two SP's and have never read anyone else had a problem...that's if of course they had the leverage and the good excuses.

If I apply for 3 Delta gold AMEX cards using 3bm I'll get accepted to all 3 just like that and I'll get the 30k bonus times 3= 90k miles??

You've held both Visa/MC multiple times? That's impressive. We mut run in different circles because I only know of a handful of people who were succesful getting both and even then was quite difficult.

There's a reason why Dan's termed it the Sapphire Shuffle
You can also do the Sapphire shuffle.
