They are allowing having one SP open. So if you offer to transfer CL and close your current SP there shouldnt be problem.

I am pretty sure Dan and others have 2 open.
I recently had a WMC and applied for a visa trying to have both at once and was declined, I spoke to many reps, but basically the supervisor told me straight out having the visa AND wmc wasn't the problem. They just didn't want an additional 5k exposure with my total chase line (I am young and relatively new to the game) so in the end I closed my WMC to open the new visa. But they made it seem like having both was possible.

I know many people including members in my family currently have both SP's.
What I meant to say is if you tried getting both now they will give a really hard time...harder than a few months ago.  I guess you kinda got lucky with almost pushing it through.

Does the WMC cover additional members too?

I hear and agree. I wonder has anyone ever gotten instant approval on a sapphire visa while having a WMC open? I bet it takes a phone call every time.

VERY INTERESTING!!
Although I was told that not, but when I just logged in to my account the first time after converting my visa to wmc, I see the new account duplicated as discussed and I see a $87.08 annual credit fee.
I was charged the 95 fee about a month ago, so I guess you do get an additional year free when converting.

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

No, but I called and a rep told me I got 50K. Waiting for the bill to close to argue for it :)

Are you sure the conversion triggered the credit? Did you contact chase about the fee or mention it while converting at all?

Was it converted to a non-preferred? Why else would they give you a pro-rated refund.

Is it confirmed that if you already have a SP and run another application for the other SP, it will auto reject and not run your credit?

I had a Visa, got the bonus, and applied for the SP MC. The application was rejected. I talked to a rep and the switched my card to a MC. This was early last year. I was going to apply for the Visa again and switch over from the MC to Visa, and see by chance if I can get the spending bonus.

How does this sound?

Thanks

You will get a letter saying you should call the number on the back of the card. DON'T CALL! they will converter your existing SP from MC to visa and you will not receive the sign up bonus.
Instead just call chase recon. And ask them to close down your MC in order to.get the visa  approved.

hey guys, i'm reading through this and I'm missing if people are applying for a Sapphire MC or they just call and ask to have their Sapphire VISA converted to MC. Would doing such a conversion give you the MC bonus to go after?
