You are fine because the card covers Israel.  All Ts and Cs say Israel may be excluded, which is why you PUTPAC.

When you say PUTPAC, I magine call Chase not the Rental Agency in Israel?

does that mean the credit report shows 2 accounts? it's highly unlikely they delete that visa account one day to the next.
unless the account number on the report stays the same even if the credit card number switches?

It's very likely that the report will continue to show 2 accounts, with one having no updates. I changed from one BofA CC to another 2 years ago and there are still 2 accounts showing on my EX and EQ (TU only shows one) reports with one not having any updates since I made the switch.

BTW, the rental has to be less than 31 days. If more, they don't cover.

That's always the case, not specifically in Israel. (diff cards vary with length)

Also, Chase told me the Visa card will remain active for 30 days just to give time to switch over, currently I see 2 accounts in my Online Banking (that both update exactly the same for every transaction), I'll see if one disappears after 30 days.

Does the visa still have the cl?

Every detail about the 2 accounts are identical, every purchase and credit show up in both and they both show the same original CL

Even the UR points both show up the same amount each.
(When I was playing around on the UR website I saw the option of transferring from one account to the other so I attempted a transfer from the Visa to the MC and on the the next screen it showed me that I would end up with double the miles, but when I submitted the transfer it still left me with the original amount in both accounts! too bad :(

What do you mean? Call Chase and play dumb and ask them to transfer the CL from the Visa to the MC?

I would say to move it too a different chase card other tjen the sp mc.

After reading your above post, it seems that its not actually an additional cl, its sharing the same cl as the new card so this plan probably won't do accomplishe anything.

You really have nothing to lose.  Worst comes to worst it will deduct it from the same cl and then add it back to the same cl.

Here is what I did,
Called chase asked the rep to convert my freedom visa N/fee to a sapphire preferred MC $95 annual fee
she moved my points, credit line & balance over to the new card.
she also stated that the date of original opening of the old card transfers over to new card as it was opened years ago.

Just to point out, the CDW from the the Citi WMC doesn't mention any possible exclusions unlike the Sapphire WMC which says "may not be available..."

Either you and Dan don't have the same T&c, or one of you are just "generally speaking"

I had to have them take my Hyatt Chase credit line and move it over to the Sapphire Preferred MC, otherwise they had rejected me for too many cards.

When I posted that I had just checked the pamphlet that came with my Citi WMC and it makes no mention of any countries
