Yeah it's a preferred. I still have my old Visa SP before I converted it to a WMC.

I weighed them both on a scale and the new SPs they are sending out are definitely less heavy.

I converted my SP VISA to Sapphire WMC regular. applied SP VISA again. didnt got automatic approval. message is processing. called them after 3-4 days. lady told me, they will not give me SP, as I already have it. I said, I dont have SP. it is regular sapphire MC. she told me you just converted from preferred to no fee card. we will not give you again. if you want I will upgrade it back. I said no. told her dont do anything and hung up. called next day got another lady. she said application is in process. no decision yet. it can take 2-4 weeks. Any suggestion what is going on? I right now have only 2 Chase card. 1 WMC and other is United. any advise is appreciated.

Just my experience. Maybe/probably it depends on how early in the first cycle you complete the spending req.

It was early in the cycle and I was told by CS that it would show after statement is paid.

usally if the charge posts 1 or 2 days before the end of the billing cycle you see it on that statement.

That's for the actual charge, the discussion here is for the 50k bonus points.

As told to me by a rep who "claimed" to know the system the threshold has to be met at least 5 days before the end of the cycle.

My $3000 once posted about 2 days before the end of the billing cycle and i got it that month.

I've read through the forum and am confused. Can we still switch over to a WMC and keep preferred status or is this dead? I tried callign and was told the card needs to be open for a year.

you can hid ethe visa account so you dont see the mirror affect online.
