Yes. and everybody I know got the 2 cards, and had finished their first statement got the bonus twice.

Aryeh1 asked if Dan got a bonus on the MC. I believe the answer is no .

He got the bonus on his 2nd visa card. He did not get the bonus after spending 3k after the conversion.

Reps say lots of things, as does my 8 month old. Mostly gibberish, though soon hopefully my child will say words that make sense.

I'm looking for actual experience.

lol, spoke to an escalation manager beucase of all the complications that happened. she said that i would get a letter confirming all the info....i'll keep you posted

hi just spoke to a whole bunch of chase rep's today and they all told me that mc discontinued the car rental insurance in israel and that currently they dont hav any card that covers u in israel, anyone know 100% otherwise ?

Nothing to do with Chase.
Master Rental provides coverage, call them.

I had a chase sapphire preferred visa, and applied for a 2nd 1 with intent to call recon and ask them to approve me for a sapphire preferred mc.

The first 2 times I called I was denied because "i already had a sapphire visa".. finally i got through to a nice cs rep. i explained by i wanted a mc version even though i already had a visa one. I also didn't want to push my luck so i offered off the bat to move around credit.. at the end, she offered me 5k additional credit and approved me for the sapphire mc version!!!

I moved my SP VISA over to a regular Sapphire MC, and applied for a new SP VISA.

I of course received a letter that they would not grant me a new SP because I already have a Sapphire.

I called recon and the second CSR agreed to issue me another SP Visa if we can take 5k off of the new MC.

I agreed.

She did however warn me that if I am doing this for the promo there will not be a bonus promotion for the new SP VISA since I already acquired one on the MC.

I went ahead with it anyway.

Did anyone get such a response?

Can I assume that a secure message after I spend 3k will do the trick to get me the bonus?

Any ideas how to deal with this?

She was probably trying to scare you, first time I've heard someone say that.

Besides Dan already said he got his bonus posted after doing the same thing, converting, applying for new SP, etc
