Wrong move.

Either apply directly for SP MC or convert your VISA to MC and then apply for SP Visa.

If needed use recon to close first SP to get second SP pushed through.

I am confused with all of these acronyms.
I have a Sapphire Preferred Visa that has just hit the year so the annual fee is due.
I have transferred all my points to my Ink Bold off of the Sapphire Preferred VISA.

I would like to get a Sapphire Preferred Mastercard so I can take advantage of the CDW in Israel.
I applied for the Sapphire Preferred MasterCard and was turned down because I can't have two Sapphire Preferred Products.

I have a reference number that I can call recon with.
What is the best way to go about this?

Is there a way to cancel the Sapphire Preferred Visa, and move the credit line to a new Sapphire Preferred MasterCard, while still qualifying for the bonus ultimate reward points?

What would be your recommendation as to how to proceed?
I would love to hit the bonus points again somehow.
Thanks so much

Will it qualify for the bonus miles again if I hit the spend limit?

On the new card yes, but not on the converted one.

interesting story-
i tried converting to mcw for ins. in israel and kept getting this garbage about 1st year...federal reg... bla.bla.bla...
so i applied for the mcw (with dans link of course) get denied for already having the same product call recon. and they tell me that cant have to of the same product but i wanted to get rid of my UA personal and biz due annual fees and an upcoming apporama
and wanted to keep the sp visa due to warranty- so she tells me that i can have both sp's if i use one them for biz. i say ok. and she approves it. i then ask her if she could do this if they were both visa, and she says sure as long as on is for per. and the other for biz. and went on to explain that some people like using personal cards for biz but like to keep expenses separate (right ;))
if what she told me is accurate this could be a huge bonus,
think for ex: UA 2 personal- 1 biz same for swa and all other chase cards
pretty sweet

You think you can just call recon and ask to be transferred? Good luck...

I will admit to not reading through the whole thread, but would appreciate help none the less.

Besides for perhaps receiving a bonus for Chase messing up the transfer, what is the benefit of converting the Visa into WMC and reapplying for a Visa, rather than just applying for a WMC? If anything, I can see a stronger argument for being approved for the WMC (due to Israel coverage) than being approved for the Visa, which I wouldn't know what to say to customer service.

Any help?

No difference. The argument can be made either way.

So are they still allowing 2 cards, or is Meshugener correct?
Also, what are the arguments for Visa?

Yes, for special people.

And, wait, is he ever right?
