They're cracking down both of them.

Which crackdown? The A/A mess? That wasn't a week ago.

Not the A/A wave, and I didn't say it begun a week ago either.
Lately they're making a real hard time to get approved for two of the same type of product. For example: SP + reg Sapphire, or, SP Visa + SP WMC.
Used to be very easy till like 2 months ago.

I have SP VISA and Sapphire regular MC. I have churned my SP a few times this year. I plan to churn it again. regular thing. transferring SP lien to another card, canceling it and applying again. I had last done it 2 motnhs ago. Is it going to be possible again now? is it too soon? any guidance before I call and transfer line or cancel will be appreciated.

Just make sure you have a plausible reason for reopening a card you just closed.

Yes, though that's likely much smaller than a new signup bonus.

Last questions. Any way to get 50K miles bonus of SP? Even after applying thru SM or offer code or any way? just 2 months back, when I had applied, I still got 50K for me and my wife both. now it appears like 40K, as best bet.

Use your imagination. Iv'e said things like, I realized it was a mistake to close the card as it had such great benefits such as x, y, and z and I really miss it.
