I believe they say you won't but everyone has received them anyway.

Are you sure? so i should just tell them to go ahead and switch it? how do i make sure they actually "approve" my application and don't just switch my WMC to a visa

I just changed least week to SPWMC. It want trough without any problem.

Other than the usual MC over Visa benefits. Like Sam's Club payability. =)

The better benefit is that now I have both a Freedom MC and a Freedom Visa so I can double up on the 5% categories.

Why not wait til you reach 12 months? The AF doesn't hit until a few weeks after 12 months so you have time in case you don't like seeing an AF. Even if the AF hits, once you convert your account, the AF should disappear as long as its within 30 days (possibly more, but why push it)

Some have said you can reapply the same or next day. If you're concerned, just wait 30 days, which I believe is the amount of days they can still re-open a closed account.

Just got the fee on my visa. Suppose I just cancel it to get the AF refunded, and then apply on my next round of apps for the visa again? Seen a few people on here say you can re-apply for the CSPV pretty quickly after canceling and still get the bonus.

Data points recently, anyone?
