I am new to churning chase credit cards and want to make sure I got it right.

I have a Sapphire Preferred Visa card now. To be able to get the bonus points again, I am planning to do the following steps.

1. Convert my SP Visa to SP World Master card (or can I convert to the no fee Sapphire card?)
2. Close my SP WMC and move the CL to my other chase cards within a month
3. Reapply for SP Visa after a couple of months and get the 40k signup bonus again  (I know I dont need to wait, but planning to wait to combine with my other applications).

I would be grateful if someone could confirm this.

Yes this is good but you need not close the SP WMC to reapply for the Visa and get the bonus again.

Someone can CMIIW but since your account has a new number you will not get the 7% bonus.
In that case if you lose your card and they issue you a new card (they change the last four digits) then you'll loose the 7%...?

Its a new SP WMC and that's what changes.

Doesn't matter too much. It's all changing 11/01.

Pretty much every Chase card is moving on 11/01 to their new benefit provider.
Whether it covers Israel is still unknown but the SWMC won't have any advantage over the Visa.
