texture....
Like I said before, I can't exactly relate as I eat it with lettuce...

But unlike an Apple where I enjoy it, therefore I like it to be the right texture... Maror, which I'm eating for the mitzvah alone. I do not enjoy it. I probably wouldn't care about having a nice crunchy texture. I Just think about how quick I can finish my kezayis...

Horseradish is not one of the ones in the mishna

The major and leading Achronim say that Tamcha is what we call Chrein. How can you say with a certainty it's not, the questions raised notwithstanding.

I never took a poll, but plenty of people use just horseradish as per family minhag. (from Europe). I guess if you don't have a family minhag you would use lettuce as per what it seems to be most poskim saying that lettuce is better. (Don't forget it's more important to be machmir when it comes to tolaim than machmir on the derabanan of maror...)

For those who are still about to prepare the maror. Making sure the food processor, blade, cover and all are totally dry helps to retain the sharpness by keeping out from becoming moist.

This year I underestimated how sharp it would be. I didn't even take a lot. I felt my stomach being irritated. I quite literally did a headstand to move the maror off the bottom of my stomach (after/during shulchan orach). I think it helped a bit.

We prepared the Maror a few days in advance. Placed it in freezer. It was beyond sharp.

Anyone else put in freezer?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. On the tzad not - I have no idea how. The only thing I know was that it was in a plastic container and it was supposedly bigger shreds than previous years (I didn't notice that).

I was reminded over YT how the hagada maasei nisim starts with a tshuvo that you aren't yotzei with ground horseradish and that you need to eat it whole

Me too... Then I remembered that the Achronim comment that it is כמעט סכנה to eat it like that...

Rav Moshe and Reb Reuven both ate only ground horseradish. Rav Moshe and now Reb Reuven eats only romaine because he can't eat a full kzayis of horseradish.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Coarser = spicier.
Grind it as close to Seder as possible.
Store it in a airtight container (glass is better then plastic).
Freeze it until right before Seder.

ETA: If freezing it, there's really no need to grind it as close to Seder as possible. The freezing will lock in the freshness.
Thank you! Freezing did the trick

Most Achronim didn't accept the חוות דעת psak in maasei nisim. (The בני יששכר in דרך פקודיך does)
