Of course its a major disruption.
-Old tickets cannot be exchanged by NDC.
-AA has now blocked a large amount of fares from showing in GDS. Customers looking to do exchanges as well as new customer bookings are now forced to fork out up to 50% more than what fares are advertised.
-IRROPS cannot be protected.
-Harder to filter out specific flights.

It is well known that AA has the worst operation from all 3 Legacy carriers, so we cannot say we are shocked on how this was rolled out. We hope ASTA will be successful in getting the DOT to intervene on this unacceptable behavior exhibited by AA.

UA started offering way cheaper fares on UA.com and NDC without making the fanfare like AA

another issue of NDC, tickets can not be voided till end of next business day, rather only 24 hours as dictated directly by the airline (and they can block within 7 days etc)

Was told by a friend who is a lifetime platinum that the NDC is actually causing the website to show lower prices for him when logged in AND on routes he fly often vs when he looks from a different computer
Additionally it seems that it still wasn't rolled out on all the international sites especially countries with specific consumer protection laws (example Israel 14 days to cancel etc)
 those localized sites seem to search differently (based on the URL after the search is submitted)
Anyone have any  idea why?
