i need help dealing with Groupon.
i bought a groupon for $17 for a comedy club. here is the fine print:
$17 for two general admission tickets and two shots (up to $66 value)
requires a reservation and a 2 drink $18 minimum.
i made the reservation. we drank about 5 cocktails altogether totally around $65.
they collect payment right before the last set during the show. i showed the guy my groupon (i printed it out) and gave it to him when i entered. we got our two shots free. the bill said $15 per person. i told the waitress that i have a groupon and she should get it from the guy out front and remove the $30 charge. the guy from the front came and told us the groupon is for 2 free shots only.
i couldn't argue because we were getting shushed. when the show was over, neither the waitress nor the guy out front was there. just the bartender who said she can't help us.
i contacted groupon and they're being so dense. not sure if on purpose or their just that stupid. they were saying that i can't get a refund as it's only done same day as purchase. i said i've already used the groupon, hello?!
anyone have experience dealing with them??
