I bought a Groupon for Hapina Grill in Cedarhurst on January 3. On January 15, I got an email from Groupon saying that the restaurant had closed. I contacted them and asked how to get my money back. They told me I can trade it in for another Groupon, but there's nothing else that I want. It's possible that Hapina closed even before I bought the Groupon. Suggestions on how to get a refund?

Call them up again and ask them for a refund you have one representative telling you, you can't get a refund and while another representative would tell you no problem I'll go ahead and refund you.

AFAIK, calling them is not an option. Options are live chat, email, and request a call. My initial contact was by email. Is your suggestion based on actual contact with Groupon?

I have contacted them many times, and from what I can remember they managed to help me with my issue when ever and whatever the issue was,very decent customer service, chat with them or try to speak with someone from groupon CS and tell them exactly what happened, or try to find out when the restaurant closed, now if all that doesn't work and you used your amex card to make this purchase, take 2 minutes to file a claim which i'm 99% sure they will credit you that purchase.
