Relief for Stomach issues on Pesach

Anyone else have issues with their stomach over pesach? Unsure which foods trigger it, and then there's also all the wine....
Adwe makes KLPsch Tums. Any ideas that may help? Anything else that can be taken to help discomfort (assuming its not "real illness" that would allow regular kitniyot meds)?

I think you're mistaken on the kitniyos question. CMIIW, but I think medication isn't included in the kitniyos gezaira/minhag. The definition of medication is anythibg taken to relieve/resolve an issue, you don't need to have a din choleh. Supplements are not medication.

AFAIK most acid reducer medications like pepcid aren't chometz or kitniyos.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Don't eat so much matzah

Switch to whole wheat or spelt

Eat the matzah with something to help it go down easier: butter, cream cheese, jam, salami, egg salad, tuna salad, are all good choices

Avoid potatoes and potato starch they are also pretty bad

Exactly. You should measure out your kezayis before hand, so you only eat the exact required amount. By me, we all eat only whole wheat, it is a lot lighter on the stomach...
Eating the matzah with something, is a good idea, though, by motzi Matzah, you can't eat with anything, even salt.

My advice is to eat lots of fruit and veggies, especially ones with lots of fiber, they definitely help with digestion.

Avoid potatoes and potato starch they are also pretty bad
Uh. It's Pesach we're talking about. :)

Potatoes are a new world discovery, Jews have been making Pesach for centuries before they know it existed.

Using potato starch to make cookies, cakes, pasta, pizza bagels etc are a new phenomenon from the past few decades.

"New". That's a new one. ;)
Anyhow, it doesn't change the now.

I'm not even referring to the cakes cookies etc... We have many diff. side dishes from reg potatoes. From potato salad to sliced potatoes, mashed etc...

Potatoes were brought to spain in 1536*. At that time all the Jews in spain were kicked out or were in hiding, so it was probably another few years until it became a Pesach food. There are other vegetables you can make side-dishes from.

IMHO potato starch is the real culprit and eating other potato dishes won't be so bad for you.

True & True. Still not "New". Maybe relatively new.
We still have plenty of other dishes w/o with potatoes (cuc. salad, coleslaw, etc)
But many things still have pot starch- cakes, cookies, kneidlach etc.

Bottom line, If its something thats upsetting you, it can be easily avoided, w/o "starving"...
