JFK Terminal 1 - TSA Pre?
« on: May 15, 2023, 05:04:42 PM »
I'm seeing mixed DP's if JFK Terminal 1 has TSA Pre or not. Some say it doesn't, or only has Pre Lite that keeps you in the regular line but lets you keep your shoes on.

The official website https://www.jfkairport.com/ clearly shows there is a Pre line that saves time, though other sites have it constantly marked as closed (https://waittimesnow.com/airports/jfk/). Any recent DP's about the existence or status of TSA Pre in Terminal 1 (for an AF flight if it makes a difference)?

Last I recall (about 6 months ago) there was a separate rope line for pre check that ended up by the same TSA agent and then you were in the same line as everyone else for the x-rays.

When it's your turn you show the agent your boarding pass, and they let you go through the metal detector with your shoes on but don't expect it to be much quicker than regular security.
120 characters? Hmm, I wonder what I could write with 64 characters. Boy, it's gonna be hard to use up 15 characters. W-
