What kind of compensation would make you happy ?

I'd rather suggest to call in some higher ups and try finding a sympathetic ear who can offer points/travel vouchers to compensate you for your public humiliation rather than filing a DoT complaint or going public with this story.

No body is looking to hurt you. People here have experience and are just looking to educate you so you don't take it so personal. Airlines are what they are, as much as they say that they care about customers we know that all they care is about their bottom line.

I listened to your interview and you are saying that when you changed your flight, you assumed that you will be getting a window seat since you had a window seat on the original flight. This again is simply wrong. It shows that you're approaching the airlines as they are here to cater exactly the way you think. And all some here are trying to explain that that is not the case.

We all had instances where we felt that the airlines didn't serves us right. Very little stories actually deserve headlines. And people here are telling you that this story doesn't deserve headlines. Maybe it came out in a nasty way but that was not the intent.

BTW, next time book with a good travel agent who will try to get you a good seat when they chnage the booking for you.. So you don't end up with assumptions..

For some reason many people expect (and demand) an upgrade to first class with the presidential suite just because they have an Amex Platinum card

Just recently we flew Delta first class domestically and we were sure we'll have access to Delta's LGA Sky Club, well they bluntly told us no you're not eligible, it's only for routes with Delta One.

Airlines NEVER guarantee seat assignements. Also, the Employee never said anything anti-semitic. If you are gonna point your guns at delta you'd better have a good case with proof or you will get crushed. They have stories like this where people complain about incidents every day and if you go public and make a big deal about it they will investigate so you better have good ammo.
