I have 2 reservations booked in Scottsdale for Shabbos in a couple of weeks - the Westin Kierland Villas & The Phoenician Resort. Which one should I keep/cancel?

Both are great. Kierland Villas come with full kitchens, not sure about Phoenician. Phoenician is higher-end I believe. Depends on your preferences...

Yes the Villas in Kierland have a full kitchen vs none @ the Phoenician. Just have to decide if an additional 40K SPG for a weekend is worthwhile for the Villas ( I already have a separate booking Mon - Fri at the Kierland villas).

No kitchen in the Phoenician but you can get a free fridge and microwave. Service was impeccable at the Canyon Suites @ the Phoenician.

You'd get the fifth night free if you extended your stay

Thanks, but I was targeted for an offer (time share) from Westin Kierland from Mon-Fri (4 nights $349) so I booked the weekend with points.

Segal's offers sit down, Imperial - not so much..

has anyone been put up for Shabbos at local families?
My husband and I are going to Arizona and were trying to figure out the Shabbos arrangements part.

Call the Chabad house (or other org.) for help in this department.

If you get an early start, you can get in a good hike before the heat of the day. I definitely think it's worth going. Arrive in the late afternoon. Go around the rim a little bit. Do an early hike the next morning. Move on to Bryce and Zion

first go to king solomens get the zeplees

then go to segals get the ribs!

then make a right out of the parking lot go around 4 lights down make a left and on the right side is last chance... spend a lot of time there

does anyone know what i can in sedona with a few hours without jeeping (my son's too young)
that i can see sedona.. without to much walking (limited time)

Where in AZ are you talking about? There's a shul in Scottsdale that puts people up for lodging and meals great experience.

When we were there we did a short hike to Cathedral Rock. The trail is long but we only did the lower portion which my kids loved and was a nice hike.

If you are there for sunset you can go to the top of Airport Road to watch a great sunset
