The thread you linked me to is talking about staples as a general rule. My question was more about the websites.

I noticed on my Amex, the websites are listed as merchandise -general while the stores are office supplies.

If from staples then yes.  The question is you may get 30000

Currently the mall has 5 X points. Plus the Ink Bold has 5 X. So you can potentially get 10X
