BH just got back the most sentimental item that was there (which was how it was traced back to me - there was a bentcher from my Chasuna in the box along with the item).

The proprietor of the pawn shop says he only purchased it a year and a half ago, and nothing else along with it, but he was given some (unclear) pictures of some of the other items, and will check in the various places he keeps items whether anything is there, or if it shows up by someone wanting to sell to him.

Now comes the next question, do I say שהחיינו?

Most definitely will.

Interesting how I had two days in a row where I felt genuine internal joy. Yesterday a nephew finally got married, and since he has been frequenting our house for years (and also lived by us for a while at some point) we feel very close to him, it was such a wonderful thing to see him getting married. And today I got back a very sentimental item that my father a"h gave me when I got married (which he inherited from his father).

While my beard is probably the most "ExGingi", there are some family and friends who are older than me that have "ex" streaks in their beards. But all of that was not only balanced out but truly overpowered, by the amazing amount of blazing Gigni there. I even pointed it out to my wife after the Chupa.

It's far from an Hungarian thing. K'yodua the heartwarming story of the red-head who grows out their hair really long to make a wig for their friend who has cancer. When people heard about it, they got very emotional. Not only did the person have cancer, but now they had to suffer being a gingy?! The horror.
