I don’t know what happened, not coming up now for me either. But it definitely did, (have the pic clearly showing dec 5 to TLV with basic). Maybe it was a fluke? Or inadvertent tease at whats to come?

Has anyone successfully used a systemwide upgrade to tlv? Especially now that JFK-TLV is the only option?

So I just found out that when you get a higher level than what you were matched to in the status pass, the status you earn only kicks in when the next phase of the 3 phase-cycle begins. So I will not have executive platinum, just platinum pro, until september… 44 days from now. Bummer
i think i misunderstood the match t&c and thinking i would meet plat pro or higher but didnt. apparently, was supposed to meet the loyalty points threshold during the first phase. is that accurate?

Yes, you’re given the equivalent of whatever status you are matching from for phase 1. You then have the entire phase 1 to essentially earn as much as you can. Whatever status you earn by the end of phase 1 will be the status you have when phase 2 starts.

Then from there you can only either stay the same or decrease but not increase. Phase 2 and 3 are identical from what i understand but when you graduate phase 3 you will have the status you graduate with through the next calendar year

Also from what I was told by AA, it is cumulative, meaning that at any point you have enough points to graduate phase 2 (Even in phase 1) you will have that status through the end of phase 3. Goes without saying that if you earn what you would normally need for any given status you will guarantee that status through the end of the following year as anyways you earned yourself status

When do AA miles expire when you cancel the credit card. Say you have had no activity for 24 months and then you cancel the credit card. When will those miles expire?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

I'd assume immediately.
But all you need to do is book and cancel an award...

Has anyone ever successfully used a systemwide upgrade in a way that made sense?

Does basic economy with credit card/exec plat status on partners (finnair) allow
1) seat assignments
2) lounge access
3) luggage
4) earn miles

Talking about booking american marketed flight (either through aa.com or chase, not sure which one yet)

Thanks

Thanks, found out I was on upgrade list, but didn’t end up getting it. Seems pretty rare these days. I’m platinum pro, wondering what executive platinum experience is like, will be exec plat in about 4 days

Is AA and Aerlingus partners? How does that work logistically with seat choice, lounge, etc..

EI not one-world
Unless is codeshared or on one-world metal (BA or IB metal) wouldn't expect much however YMMV
