EI not one-world
Unless is codeshared or on one-world metal (BA or IB metal) wouldn't expect much however YMMV

Yeah i realized its not, but i saw that AA was selling a EI ticket. Was wondering if i can collect miles on a flight booked on aerlingus.com, etc

A specific flight within a JV/CS region may be a bug or no availability worth a shot
Anything not covered is like calling AA to book DL, they may be able if they have a MOU but it will generally have a higher fare class (and price for you)  and since it is just a redemption/agent purchase probably will not earn AA miles

I need to show proof of travel for passport reasons, American airlines on the phone confirmed you can cancel refundable tickets even same day as flight.
Can somebody confirm this is true?

Sorry for posting in more than one place, just doing my research

AA changes the deadlines for credit card earnings loyalty points

The AA calendar year is from March 1 to end of Feb (29th this year)

typically points (and loyalty points) only get awarded on a statement closing, which would mean a feb statement that ends on March 1 or later would only count those points towards the next year

however, now, regardless of when the statement ends, any purchases made by the end of the AA calendar year will count towards that year's status! So if your statement ends March 1, all of your feb purchases will still count for the 2023 year!

I think thats a nice touch.

I selected the miles

I was debating between that and the upgrades, the thing is that the certificate is worth at least 25k each cause thats the upgrade fee

It depends on the route and fare class, if it's a 15k point upgrade without a copay, the miles are worth more, if it's 25k miles +$350 copay hands down the SWU is worth more.( I pretty much only travel on award tickets so I can't  use SWU anyways)

You can use them on award tickets, you just cant use mileage upgrades on award tickets.

Swu never come with a copay right?

Revenue tickets only. If departing LHR the premium cabin tax will be charged if upgrade is from economy.

Any tax liability is the responsibility of the user.
Upgrades are only valid on individual published-fare tickets. Upgrades are not applicable to AAdvantage® travel awards; any free ticket; military or other government fares; opaque fares; infant tickets (including INF50 fares) or purchased extra seats.

does american offer paid upgrades on award tickets? not the mileage upgrade/SWU. just regular paid upgrades that you can find on your reservation
