You obviously don't realize how many people have asthma and how rare such an occurrence is.

A severe asthma attack.

Let's take the few people I know who have asthma. They go about their day regularly; many days can go by without a flareup. When they have a flareup, they take a few puffs a day from the inhaler. I have never witnessed such a severe attack. If a person is prone to severe attacks, then by all means, they should have one, or at least have a necklace with their medical condition on it.
