AA via Royal Air Maroc can I get compensation????
« on: July 09, 2023, 05:08:24 AM »
Flew AA generated flight on Royal Air Maroc on Thursday 7/6/23.  Tlv to Casablanca, 4 hour layover, connecting flight to New York JFK.Arrive around 6:50 pm Thursday at JFK.
First they changed the flight a few days before to leave TLV an hour later. Then they pushed away from the gate and held us on the tarmac for around 3 ½ hours.   Not a word of info to anyone.  At the 90-100 minute mark the pilot made an unclear message about takeoff.  And they started coming around with water and paper cups.  The entire 3 ½ hours there was no air conditioning. The plane was unbearably hot and the stench was terrible.
It finally took off and arrived in Casablanca a few minutes before the connecting flight to NY.  Impossible to make that connection.
I received a voucher for a hotel room, and dinner from the hotel(which did not help me),and nothing else.
Am I entitled to compensation for the tarmac delay, and the missed flight connection?   Practically impossible to deal with anyone in the airport in Casablanca unless you spoke Arabic or French. Someone please help

Depends on cause of delay
Israeli compensation law is your best bet

you should be entitled to Israeli compensation law and you'll have to get it from AT
in this case AA is not responsible at all
