AA baggage fee
« on: January 23, 2012, 09:46:30 AM »
I'm looking to book an AA flight (Short distance) with Avios. On the BA site it
says that there is free baggage (up to 50LBS), Is that true, I heard people got
charged. If there is a charge is there any way to get it off. (I don't have any
statue with AA).

AFAIK you have to pay. The free luggage would only be if you are flying with BA

What happened to the free kingfisher status? if you're flying after the partnership begins, it should be free. Look for the thread

If I book one mileage ticket from CDG-JFK-LAX-LIH that pan out over a few months, do I get one free checked bag being that I get that on the original leg (CDG-MIA)?

2 years ago i flew from DTW to EZE with a stopover in NY for 3 days - mileage ticket - and they charged me for baggage on the domestic part since the international part is on a different day.

Surprised (because at the end of the day it was one ticket) but thanks!

I was just told otherwise by an agent. In fact I am flying on an Anytime Reward so for my first flights CDG-JFK it "ups" my baggage allowance to 2 free checked bags, and I was told that will carry through onto my JFK-LAX-LIH legs as well.
