Thanks! Better, though IMHO I still see more harm than good coming from the whole paragraph. I’d just add “Nigel notes that this was never about women” to the end of the previous paragraph and lose the rest of this one.

Just last week I was flying El Al on a maybe half full flight. Somehow, I ended up being seated in a row by the window with a secular Israeli woman in the aisle and another guy in the middle (probably the only row that actually had three people in it). Immediately after boarding finished, she started asking the guy in the middle if he wanted to move, then after he refused started asking me to move. Maybe I should have recorded that incident…

FWIW, I think it is entirely possible she thought he asked her to move because she was a woman, and once that narrative took hold in her head, she dug her heels in and still has no idea what or why he was asking. IOW, it is not a he said/she said and that one of them is lying, but both are telling the truth. Except her "truth" is based on something she concocted in her own mind based on preconceived expectations.

I really hope there is video. I wonder how long it will be until airlines start installing cameras on planes.
