I appreciate seeing historic European shul architecture thoughtfully adapted, something that deserves to be far more common. While modern elements have been incorporated, in my opinion, it still strongly embodies the character of classic European design and glory

The idea was actually to imitate Jerusalem style design. Israeli white stone inside out, the arches, windows etc. Look at the photos in my link.

I haven't been to any old Shuls in Jerusalem, but I've been to many in Europe
