No, i admit RedCross was a bad example in general and i also updated my post to indicate that they are involved currently as well.

But the general point still stands, an org that puts politics first over the cause will ultimately hurt the cause

I get you feel some of these organizations are putting politics first.
A person doesn't say I am a D/R and then chooses a cause. The causes they believe in get them labeled a D/R.

I really want to agree with you here but i am having a hard time.
I don't think your argument is wrong, I just have a hard time accepting the sad reality we live in.
Why should independent choices get you labeled? Pro Choice = D Pro Life = R.
Can i be Pro choice without celebrating abortion?
Can i be Pro Life while still respecting women?
We give these causes big fancy names that pigeon hole us into rigid beliefs when in reality so much of us are really closer then we think.

Just about every report about antisemitism quotes the ADL report of a 300-400% rise since the war started.
Instead of tearing them down you should be building them up. They are a major plus for ALL Jewish people.

What you don't realize is that we've been speaking about and warning about this form of antisemitism for years and years, and the ADL has minimized it. Yes, NOW they have woken up to it, but in the past they've only spoken to the most extreme cases of BDS and "Corbinist" antisemitism. So kudos on them for standing up to the pressure of antisemites *within their own ranks*, but the fact that it is coming "from inside the house" just goes to show how insidious their denial of all forms of antisemitism has been.

Not a smear campaign at all. All the good they do to combat antisemitism is being blinded by their progressive agenda.
It will be pointed out that they didn't speak out about so and so as if that cancels the other 100 times they do speak out.

It's not that it cancels out what they do call out, rather the opposite, it is used to cancel out the anti-semitism that they ignore.
Because if the ADL does not have a problem with it then it can't be anti-semitic?

As pointed out numerous times, when if your goal is to fight antisemitism, and you ignore a massive swatch of antisemitism for political reasons, you end up allowing antisemites to use you for cover as they increase their antisemitism. So whether or not it "cancels out" is beside the point that your politics is emboldening antisemites.

It is a calculation if it helps or hurts their overall main cause which is fighting antisemitism.
It is like winning 9 out of ten games and you complain about the one they lost.
They are front and center for the fight against antisemitism. Embrace it!!

I disagree, fighting hate isn't a scoreboard driven sport, it's about rooting out hateful ideologies, wherever they may come from. Playing politics with hate undermines the good you do. It's not like a good deed that everything you do is valuable.

To paraphrase Chris Rock, when they stood against one form of AS, "what do you want, a cookie? That's what you're supposed to do!" When they didn't stand against AS in other forms, it revealed the other instances they did to be politics too and completely worthless.

Yes, and I disagree for the reason stated. Ignoring some AS for politics undermines anything they do for the cause
