I'm looking for a place within the 4 hour range drive that would be nice for a 2 day mini vacation. Kosher food would be a big plus. (We know about Niagara falls we wanna know if there is anything else)

we like Lake Erie. Many parts have swimming, pontoon boating, JetSkis, speedboating, etc..
Presque Isle has a great 12 mile bike riding trail that we've done. Hiking in woods, too.
Also Pymatuning state park has cabins and Linesville where the "ducks walk on the fishes backs". Cool to see and to feed. There are some SPG/Sheratons as well. No food, but maybe Pom meals will work for 2 days, especially if you bring a grill to the lake. Even a wood fire makes great grilled chicken and hot dogs.

Look into Rochester there is some Kosher food but I am not sure how much there is to do there. I have stopped there a few times.

It baffles my mind how a park like that can cost remotely close to $50 million to renovate. Political corruption at its finest.

According the quoted article, it says:"CLEVELAND — Just before the Republican National Convention begins, this city is making good this week on its longtime plan to renovate a 10-acre public green space, following a trend in major American cities to link park construction with economic redevelopment goals...."

(however, if you look at the photo it doesn't look like 10 acres.)    Maybe there's an expensive underground parking garage??

it's a lot of money for a relatively "small", flat space. It took 15 months, so maybe it was over $500K per month just for payroll.
Perhaps demolition was $2 million. Permits and attorney fees another $2 million. All guesses. It would be great if these costs were transparent for CLE.

They could get bids for a 5-month job for a $20 million total cost price for a park. Nice chunk of change would be saved. You can make a nice basketball statue with some of the leftovers.

Using Google maps to measure, the park area is indeed only 5.9 acres. If you include the bordering roads, as well as some of the sidewalk up to the bordering buildings, you get up to 9.1 acres.

Shouldn't have costed a fifth of what it did.
