Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

My guess is that it wouldn't be have been hard to kickstart the difference or find a corporate sponsor for something like this.
Why not involve the community in decisions like this rather than let everyone gossip?
Don't you think that would start a precedent? Should all restaurants have subsidies to pay for the hechseher?

I think a kosher stand at a ballpark is a unique situation.

Most of the kosher stands in sports stadiums wouldn't know the difference if jews were buying or not. The exception is probably the east cost.

Could be, though FWIW today was the first time I've ever seen the stand with no line at all before the first pitch.

No
Interesting that it isn't owned by jews. I've worked at kosher stands in a few different venues, and I can tell you, the jews are waaaay in the minority where I was. I would imagine Cleveland is similar, but don't know for sure.

I doubt the Indians would allow a corporate sponsor for this...

I personally haven't seen a major draw to that stand since they stopped the fried onions, now those were something to write home about...

If you do get this reinstated, please look into restarting the fried onions, some huge pre-cut onions from GFS shouldn't add too much cost, and they can make money selling them as an add-on.

(You can also try to talk to who their supplier is and get them a better contract on goods. Cheaper supplier for hot dogs etc)

True, getting your BYOKSML past the stadiums TSA is usually pretty easy, especially by baseball.

According to the official rules, the Indians allow food to be brought in as long as it's in a soft cooler. There is a limit of one bottle of water per person (20 oz or less), but you can bring in as many kosher hot dogs as you want without hiding them.
