Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.
  • CAK is ~40 minutes from the Jewish community and located nearby the NFL Hall of Fame.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CAK is about $45.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

Like saying there was too much pollution in the Atlantic Ocean near England, so Miami has to keep out of the water :P

Both the Atlantic right?

Seems like pricing is the same or slightly more than Unger's. I guess the selection may be better?

Will it work for ice cream or will that melt just above freezing for so many hours?

Not familiar with Ungar's pricing, however this almost filled up immediately thru word of mouth, so apparently there is some demand/interest for this service, be it price, selection or quality. Or perhaps convenience.

Do you mean to suggest that Cleveland has competitive kosher grocery pricing relative to Lakewood?

Is this considered good pricing for Lakewood? Surprised that things aren't cheaper.
Checked a couple items and it seemed to be more expensive than Ungers, unless things have gone up in recent months.

They’re not the cheapest store in Lakewood if that’s your question but groceries in Lakewood are more expensive than, say, Brooklyn

I wonder why not use the cheapest store once going through all the hassle?

feel free to compare to NPGS. You will be surprised with any gap in pricing if any at all. Besides the quality does not match up.

https://www.kosherwest.com/

https://www.gonpgs.com/

same interface so easy to compare.

Kosher West offered to wave a long distance trucking fee. Only difference in cost between Lakewood and Cleveland is $2.50 in picking fee ($7.50 V $10).

Not sure where to post this.
The Cuyahoga County Board of Health is making Coronavirus Testing available to ANYONE who wants to be tested (no symptoms necessary) on Thursday, June 25 from 9am to 1pm at the Cleveland Heights Community Center parking lot (1 Monticello Boulevard). You MUST  be pre-registered to qualify for testing; enter passcode CLEVEHTS. Or you can call 216-201-2084 to register. Only 250 will be tested by appointment only.
