Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

According to the Wiki there are no hotels walking distance to a minyan. Is that still so?
Do people have guestrooms or basements? what do visitors that want to experience a shabbos in Cleveland do?

IOW: Dan, you have room for shabbos?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

ha ha.
I mean there are so many diff neighborhoods.... I dont know Cleveland out of beans.
I would very much like to drive out to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and then stay for shabbos in the area. Are there any neighborhoods outside of cleveland that might have hotels walking distance to a shuls?

Here is what i got so far regarding hotels walking distance to a minyan. The info might be helpful to other visitors that aren't set on a neighborhood in cleveland.
Telshe yeshiva - Quality Inn 10 Minute Walk
Chabad Solon- Spring Hill Suites , Hampton Inn , Home-wood Suites 20-25 Min Walk
Anshe Sefard - Double Tree Half Hour walk ( not sure if the minyan is still active, couldnt reach anyone)
Menora Park Synagogue - ( not sure if the minyan is still active, couldn't reach anyone) Staybridge 40 Min walk
Beachwood Kehila -Homewood Suites 30 Min Walk
Am I missing anything?

What about Chabad of Akron?
I guess that would be the one thats around the corner from Anshe Sefard in Akron. didnt see it listed on Godaven.
From the neighborhoods that i mentioned which one would you recommend regarding safety as well as beauty (parks etc) and things to do on Shabbos?
Is there a shul that would have constant minyanim (shomer shabbos type) for during the week?

  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Why wouldn't you go down to get it?

Either way odds are he would, or the hotel would go out to him.
