Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

At the aquarium now...seen better. New to town though so sure to try everything there is to offer. Thanks for the ideas!
Never been, but the reviews haven't made me want to go there.
My kid LOVED it, and I enjoyed it as well. I haven't been to any others I really remember though, so it was neat seeing lots of new fish, my kid just running from tank to tank pointing and saying fish was tons of fun bh.

They have fish tanks? Never been.

This was also set up nice that you keep walking, and the shark tank was great where it was just fish all around and he would look all over totally surrounded by fish and sharks.

His favorite was the glowing jelly fish on the ceiling, he just stared up and kept saying WHOA.

(They said it's a 120min exhibit it took us 35 minutes. With older kids it could take an hour or more if you eat there as well. Or if they like to pet the fish it can take longer too.)

My 2 year old actually very much enjoyed the shark tunnel and the giant (sad) tortoises. The price and retrofit of the building were my main issues. The price does not reflect the same quality as other top tier aquariums in the US and the exhibits were very disjointed/non-informative. It is also possible I just miss the arcade:)

Will be in the Akron area in a few weeks and need to organize a dinner for about 10-12 people

They're willing to drive up to an hour for kosher. Is there even any options within an hour of Akron other than Cleveland?

From my research, don't seem like there's any ideal kosher options for a high-end corporate gathering.... but what is the closest thing to it available? Bonus points if they at least have a more private seating area.

Kantina may be able to provide you with a private seating area/room, plus a special 12-person private menu. Worth a call. Link: http://www.kantinakatering.com/

For the locals....

Would you buy a rental property on the border of East Cleveland? And why?
Some people say stay far away. Others say it's not so bad.

That's still far enough away from where I would stay away from, though I'm no expert.

There's free parking if you go early enough to take a train to the airport. Otherwise Brown lot is $9/day. http://www.clevelandairport.com/parking-transportation/parking
