Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

I don't know of any hotels within walking distance of any part of the CLE jewish community.
The IC CLE (currently on pointbreaks) is a 3.7 mile walk from where you want to be.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Looking for a nice hotel near Severn Road and S. Taylor Road for August. Priority Club property would be nice
Probably cheaper to buy a house in that area.

It does not have to be in walking distance. Any other suggestions besides for IC.

Ha, and I dont even know where the brunch is gonna be, but this will all be after a decent meal (I hope) already. Just going for a couple days for a wedding and not even staying in Cle.
But if it doesnt satisfy, we will def head over there.

update: The only part of CLE we were in was the airport, then we stayed about 30 min away. Shame we didn't get to check any of the eateries out this time. Oh well.

I don't think there's much of anything along the way.  There are some outlets in Grove City, PA but I doubt that'll interest the kids!

There's also a new aquarium, hundreds of miles of beautiful hikes in the emerald necklace, the cuyahoga valley national park, miles of beaches on Lake Erie, the islands in Lake Erie, NFL and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fames, and what's consistently ranked as the best roller coaster amusement park in the entire world.

Oh and dirt cheap housing and safer streets in Beachwood than in any other jewish community I've ever been to.

And 3 horribly mismanaged sports teams downtown that we love anyway.
