Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

So I guess a better indicator of the frum areas would be the shuls? Did more shuls open up than what's in the map? Which shuls are the bigger ones?
I'm on tapa so I can't see the map in the wiki or which shuls are listed

Thanks. So the eiruv goes well beyond the frum community especially in some directions. There have been a few more shuls that have opened further out than what's on the map, but still nowhere near the limits of the eiruv. Also, it's an eiruv that connects two separate neighborhoods, so the area in between is not really Jewish at all.

How likely is it if I need to go to the airport (CLE) on Sunday morning for a flight just after 5am that I'll get an uber/lyft from UH? If they're not reliable, what's the best way to get to the airport at 3:45am on a Sunday morning?

Cool, thanks. I have reserved Ubers in the past and they just never showed up. At that hour of the day it's not a good thing if you're ride doesn't show up. I'll text him and see what he says.

Seems like it will be down for a few weeks
The hotline says the eruv is good in it's entirety this week and to check back next week since the construction is ongoing.

Good to hear. I heard they were going to try to fix it but didn't seem likely. Glad they were able to get it up and running again.
