Don't leave Cleveland without a Cinnamon donut and a Custard donut  :)
Heeded.
Cinnamon was like biting into oil, not my cup of tea.
Custard was simply put ..amazing!

If there's anyone driving from Cleveland to NYC sometime this Chanuka, and willing to bring a few small boxes (or even just one box) of Ungar's scrumptious chocolate custard doughnuts, please let me know :)

The doughnuts with no filling (with the hole in the middle) are a thumbs down if you ask me.
The custard was one of the best I've ever tasted!

On another note Re. Ungar's, was very frustrating and sadening to see the prices you have to deal with vis-a-vis Kosher (Bishul Yisroel, Cholov Yisroel.. לאפוקי Costco) food.  I'd have thought that an area with a frum community that large, and that close to NYC, it would be different..

Huh? The cinnamon donut doesn't have a hole.
Unger's has long had the monopoly on the local kosher market, though that is changing rapidly with Costco carrying tons of kosher products at a fraction of their prices and several local grocery stores vastly growing their kosher sections as well.

Actually my memory already fails me if it had a hole or not :D, however I did also buy two chocolate doughnuts (no filling/with a hole!) y'know the ones with sprinkles on top.. and they were quite frankly - disgusting (the glazed cinnamon was of course even worse).  Now, I'm assuming the dough is the same as the cinnamon, so how different is it already?!
As I said earlier though, the custard really was good.

Ok so its pretty final that we are moving to Cleveland. The house renting market seems pretty thin so I figured I would contact you well-connected people who have been so helpful with my Cleveland questions in the past. We are looking to rent a 3-4 bedroom house in the University Heights/Beachwood area starting this April/May for 1+ years. Any leads would be appreciated.
Thank so much

House rentals are tough to find.
I'm assuming you've parsed Zillow already?
You may want to contact owners of houses for sale and see if they are willing to rent.

If you don't want to buy a house you may have to settle on a 3BR apt from Huntington Green, though even those can be tough to find.

My experience is that it would be hard to find a rental anywhere 5 months in advance (as any decent rentals available now would hopefully be taken sooner). That being said the best leads would actually be ppl trying to sell a house now. If you contact them now and they still don't sell by April they'd prob agree to rent it out to you. You can also check out classifieds on localjewishnews.com or even post there (closer to April).
