Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

NYC prices, no?
Seems lower to me.
$38 Steak comes with caramelized onions and mushrooms, sautéed vegetables, and French fries.
Plus soft drinks, coffee, and tea are unlimited and included.
And in the past tax was included.

For the continued safety of the residents of Cleveland, especially those on sidewalks, is there any chance in hell that there is an optometrist open at this hour?

Are you hinting that you need a ride somewhere?

Why would you need an optometrist, wouldn't crazy glue or a soldering iron do the trick?

Nope. I'm trying to hint I need my glasses fixed so that other people don't end up needing a ride somewhere (in an ambulance).

No. The lens is cracked, not the frame.AFAIK, you can't solder polycarbonate.

Well, if you were getting a ride somewhere, or staying home, no-one would be in danger... Only if you decided to drive, most probably someone else's car, would we all be in danger...

That's hard to do... crack a lens, on Shabbos...

Portabella Fries, BBQ Brisket in Puff Pastry, and Chicken Cordon D'Or were all awesome!

But the steak was just mediocre.

The prices include tax and all drinks and you are able to bring your own bottle of mevushel wine.

The kosher hot dog stand in the prog is now under Rabbi Granatstein, former rabbi of green road synagogue.
Buns are not pas yisroel.

A&H dogs are 5.75 and Tibors sausages are 6.25.

Bring your own condiments or buy a full size bottle of the awesome Bertman's ballpark mustard at souvenir stand for $4.

"Cleveland is officially the nicest people I've ever met. Everybody I did walk by said, 'Hello.' That's a little different than I'm used to."
-Terry Francona

Reminds me of when a few dozen friends, mainly NYers came into CLE for my wedding eons ago. Many of them commented on how friendly everyone was, how nice e/t looked, and how cheap housing was. When I asked them if they would consider moving here, they looked at me with horror, and said "Leave NY???".
As they say, you can bring a horse to water...

I'm a New Yorker, I married a St. Louis girl and kind of got "converted" to the small town mentality. We're moving to Cleveland in May and I'm psyched!
Two quick questions for y'all: what would be the best option, in your opinion, as an ISP. My needs are the cheapest plan that will work fast enough for VoIP I don't stream a lot of video typically.
Also, I noticed that my current bank BOA, has very few branches in the area. What would be a good bank to switch to? I noticed there are alot of chase ATMs and branches around, is that what people use?
Thanks so much for all your help
