Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

Bump.

Any chance of this happening? Should I bother making an effort to be in CLE for July 4th weekend, or should I focus my efforts on finding a good place to be for the NYC fireworks show?
I may be in though I can't commit quite yet.
I had an awesome vantage point for the NYC fireworks show last July 4th but I didn't think it was any better than the local shows.

If you're staying for only one Shabbos, then I'll miss you by the same margin, (assuming you're coming beginning of August,) but if you stay for a bit over a week...

Don't know about the Cleveland market but at a lot of places it's "late in the season already" (ridiculous, I know) and therefore they won't stick them anymore. If you can wait try Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002RV5CA8/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1375148455&sr=8-1&pi=SL75
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.
