Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

I'm thinking of going to today's Indians game. Any tips and tricks for getting cheap tickets? And what's the best option for parking?

Say hi to my siblings.

Should be able to get a deal scalping if you know how to negotiate. Otherwise just go to the box, tickets are pretty cheap as it is.

Lots of parking garages on Carnegie and on Prospect. $5, $10, or $20 depending on how far you want to walk.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks. I'm not that much of a negotiator... Do the prices go down online before the game starts?
Do I need a ticket for a 1 year old or can he be a lap child?

What section should I ask for? (Looking for cheap tix obviously)
What's the kashrus of the stand?
I wouldn't eat hot dogs out of the sukkah and I doubt my wife would want a hot dog anyways

I'd go for upper box behind home plate-554 or so.

Stand is under Rabbi Granitstein.  They have A&H dogs and sausages from Tibor's.

Yes to food. YMMV on drinks.
Juice boxes are fine and water is usually OK.
