Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.

  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

Mitchell Brothers Ice Cream (at Beachwood Place) appears to be under the hashgacha of one Rabbi Aryeh Spero (see attachment). Anyone know anything about this fine establishment, and its hechsher?
I ate there when they first opened, and their peanut butter shake was to die for. (Not literally, just figuratively)
It was like drinking melted peanut butter.
Which on second thought, could possibly kill you as well.

It's a real shame they can't get a more mainstream kashrus.

I need some help. I have never been to Cleveland before. I am attending a convention at the end of July for about a week at the IX Center. I'm looking for a nice hotel. Are there any nice hotels around the convention center? Is it worth it to stay in the really nice hotels (Hyatt Regency ...) in the city? If I would stay downtown how bad is the traffic every morning like 9 am and 6 pm to and from the convention center? Obviously it's much easier for me to stay near the convention center but if the hotels are a lot nicer then maybe it's worth it. Thank you. I can't wait to see Cleveland!

It's at the IX Center or the Convention Center? 2 different areas. The IX center is near the Airport. Convention Center is downtown IIRC. Prob less than 15 min away from each other though.
Traffic?? Lol not in this town, especially if your comparing to any big city (nyc, LA, etc)

The address is One I-X Center Drive
(Input 6200 Riverside Drive GPS). I think it's near the airport.

There is a train that runs between the airport and downtown.  I believe there's a shuttle from the airport to IX center.
