Think of Moving?

Airports:
  • CLE is about 15 minutes from downtown and 25-30 minutes from the Jewish community.  It's a focus city for Frontier, Spirit, and United.
  • The RTA (Rapid transit train) at Brookpark station has free parking and is just 1 train stop (3 minutes) to the stop inside the airport. The train costs $2.50 and the schedule is here: http://www.riderta.com/routes/redline/schedules/current#WestboundWeekday
An uber from Brookpark station to CLE is about $10.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CLE is about $30.
  • CLE off-site parking is about $9/day, on-site parking is $17-$22/day, and curbside valet parking is $35/day.
  • CAK is ~40 minutes from the Jewish community and located nearby the NFL Hall of Fame.
  • Uber between the Jewish community and CAK is about $45.
  • CAK parking is $7/day for long-term and $15-$18/day for short-term.
  • PIT is ~100 minutes from the Jewish community. It offers nonstop service to London, Montreal, and more.

Hotels:
  • There is a Hyatt Place in Legacy Village within walking distance of the Jewish community, though it's located just outside of the Eruv. It costs only 8K points/night.
  • There is a nice Hyatt Regency downtown for 12K points/night (25 minutes drive) in a unique vintage arcade building and an excellent spa that gives hotel guests 25% off and accepts SpaFinder certs from Costco that can be purchased for an additional 20% off.
  • The nicest hotel in Cleveland is like the Ritz-Carlton downtown. Marriott's Metropolitan at The 9 is also highly regarded, with a bar in an old vault. There is also a Hilton, Westin, and Kimpton downtown.

Transportation:
  • There is a subway/light rail connecting the airport with downtown, University Circle (where the Case campus and many museums are) and the Jewish community area, but renting a car is pretty much required unless you are just going between the airport and downtown.

Anywhere to make a Bank of America deposit in CLE? Google Maps shows only ATMs, not branches - is that accurate? And if yes, do any of the ATMs accept deposits?
The ATM in Beachwood, I believe it's 27599 Chagrin Rd. Exit 271 left on 422 (which is Chagrin) accepts deposits. I used to go there and then just started doing Mobile banking deposit instead... No branches anywhere close...

I'm planning a trip with my family for 3 days (around 40-50 people ranging all ages) Cleveland seemed like a good option being kind of in the centre of where people are coming from. (any thoughts on that?)
Any ideas on where to stay that will not be too expensive?
Also is there a anywhere I can get a large ponton for the day and attach a tube to it? The places I've seen online (that weren't too far) all seem to be in no wake zones.

Thanks in advance

For a poonton with a tube you can go to west branch marina . Its called a vip pontoon . (Not as fast as speed boat ... especially if the boat is filled with ppl ) .  Its 45 min from the jewish area .    Not sure if its near the spot you want to stay ...
be smart and don't mess things up please

Is there anywhere to buy $500 GCs in CLE with a credit card, besides for CVS?

For some people here that is like asking "I would like to open the same business as yours what suppliers are you using how much profit are you making and most important what would be the best way to shut your business down" and after the Car story I'm not blaming them but the chances of you getting a answer out of anyone who has one is basically 0

For the record... not only do I not know what the heck you're talking about ("car story"?!), but even the little bit of your post that I think I do understand is making you sound like a total idiot. >:(

Seriously?! Buying GCs is a "business"?! Trying to ask someone where he buys them is the same as hasagas g'vul?! And mind you, it's not like I'm asking for top-secret info - in Chicago, for example, I was told that Jewel Osco sells GCs (assuming you can find one that has them in stock), and it's a well-known fact - similar to CVS. All I'm asking is if there is a local, equivalent chain in CLE. Or maybe I should stop announcing that CVS/Staples/etc. sells GCs, for fear of "giving up people's suppliers"?!

If you don't have anything to contribute - or better yet, anything nice to say - then shut up. Capische?

No need to feel sorry was just trying to explain to you why no one is going to answer you as you can see.
Me myself I don't buy GC's yet so I have nothing to do with this

there are some good eating and outing places in PIT, but there are more a few more SPG places to stay at better price points and bigger amusements in CLE.

Sorry - not sure if this is the correct thread to post this in - feel free to let me know if I should be posting this somewhere else - but a question for any residents in Cleveland - especially our favorite one - I may be in cleveland with the family this coming Monday and am wondering if there is an early (mincha gedola) minyan with yom kippur koton tefilos.  If so - where and what time?  Thanks in advance!

In Cleveland Heights there are usually 2 options. Khal Yereim has at 7:25. Torah LIFE kollel has, but I'm not sure what time, usually it is early, but since it's Bein Hazmanim still - they'll prob have at 6:00. I'll post again if I can confirm the time...
This is prob best thread for this Q...
