Can i ask what is a bank pass book and what is the objective of this mission? Seems very interesting but i have no clue what is going on here

In the olden days (at least some accounts) didn't mail you statements - you had a little book with blank pages, and every time you conducted a transaction, the bank would print that transaction as another line.

OP found such a book indicating he (or a family member)used to have an account that was forgotten about, so he's trying to figure out how to track it down, considering the bank is no longer in existence.

First of all, thank you all for the advice so far.

None of the unclaimed money sites come up with any results.

The Savings and Loan institution doesn't exist anymore.

I searched online and found this: https://www.usbanklocations.com/west-side-federal-savings-and-loan-association-of-new-york-city-28630.shtml. I don't know if it means anything, but that is why I mailed Citibank.

I am open to any advice.

Have you tried going in person to the two B&M locations - the citibank and HSBC?

it might not be in unclaimed funds because it was used to offset another liability (taxes)? unclaimed funds is the most likely source to be able to help you locate and retrieve
might be a lot of work though
