Starting in May 2024, you'll need a passport or an enhanced license to fly even domestically.

That is incorrect you will not need enhanced, you will need Real ID, enhanced is only needed for Canada and Mexico. Real ID has no extra charge Enhanced does.

There is actually a provider that is certified to administer the test online through your computer.  That's what I did since I'm abroad.

I did eye test at a local ch pharmacy and did the rest online. Why pay someone to submit the application?
